VITAL MEMORIES, the Performance Studies Focus Group (PSFG) Pre-Conference at ATHE, will take place Wednesday, July 29, from 9am to 8pm, and Thursday, July 30, from 8am to 12pm. On Wednesday, the schedule includes breakfast, an opening welcome, paper panels and performances, lunch, a keynote by T. Nikki Cesare Schotzko, and an evening performance art walking tour of Montreal with Montreal-based artists, curated by Didier Morelli. On Thursday, the schedule includes breakfast, paper panels, and a closing discussion. Find the full schedule here.

VITAL MEMORIES is open to the public. We ask that all participants and attendees pay a registration fee ($30 for full-time faculty, $20 for graduate students, part-time faculty, and other participants) to help offset costs. The registration fee also covers breakfast on July 29 and July 30, and lunch on July 29. You may register for the pre-conference here.

Most pre-conference events will take place at the Fairmont the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in downtown Montreal. The program on Wednesday, July 29 takes place in the Matapedia room on the convention floor; the program on Thursday, July 30 takes place in the Bersimis room on the convention floor. The walking tour on Wednesday, July 29 leaves from the front of the hotel at 6pm and takes place in parks in Montreal.

We strongly advise that pre-conference participants and attendees arrive in Montreal no later than Tuesday, July 28.
