Welcome! The Performance Studies Focus Group (PSFG) at the Association for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE) invites you to VITAL MEMORIES, the 2015 PSFG Pre-Conference.
VITAL MEMORIES will engage theories, practices, and methodologies at the intersection of memory and performance, and their entanglements with aesthetics; cultural practices; policy and politics; race, gender, sexuality, class, and nationalism; and space. The pre-conference will include panels, performances, a performance art walking tour, and a keynote by T. Nikki Cesare Schotzko, Assistant Professor at the Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Toronto, and Critical Acts Editor for TDR: The Drama Review. The pre-conference will take place Wednesday, July 29 and Thursday, July 30 in Montreal, Quebec.
